This June, Prague will host the inaugural Prague Gaming Summit (PGS). The first edition of the conference, which is scheduled for June 8th and 9th, is to be hosted in the Andel’s by Vienna House Prague.
The event, which would be a seminary type conference, is expected to gather some of the most reputable experts in the gaming world at one place.
These experts would not only lead a number of workshops, but would also share their professional opinions on the current status quo of the gambling market in the Czech Republik. They would provide knowledge and ideas on matters related to possible amendments and new methods that could be made and implemented by the local Government in order for the latter to attract more gambling operators and service providers in the newly-regulated market.
What is more, the first edition of the Prague Gaming Summit is expected to provide the all delegates to be present with the unique opportunity to meet and collaborate with many representatives of regulatory authorities, gaming operators, investors, software providers and experts in the field.
Also, a part of the Prague Gaming Summit 2017 that is worth paying attention at would be the special report that is to be presented about the achievements of the Czech Republic in terms of its newly-regulated gaming market. More attention on information about the newest technologies in the business, digital currencies and electronic payment systems offered by the Baltic and Scandinavian region, as well as good practices, experience and advice sharing is also to be featured at the conference.
As revealed by the organisers of the event, more than 150 delegates are expected to be present at the first-ever edition of the Prague Gaming Summit.
Prague Gaming Summit Agenda
The Agenda of the gaming conference for the two days of the Summit have already been announced by the organisers of the event.
Day 1
The first day of the Prague Gaming Summit will start with registration and opening remarks. Then, a panel discussion called “Focus on the Czech Republic” is to start at 9:30 AM. The two-hour discussion will be aimed at highlighting the disadvantages and poor points of the current gambling regulatory legislation in the country, which was officially brought to action on January 1st, 2017.
After the half-an-hour Networking Coffee Break, there will be another discussion, called “The Benefits of the European Gambling Laws” focused on the regulatory framework and amendments that would influence on the global operators’ future.
Following the lunch break, another “Focus on the Czech Republic” discussion is to bring the hottest issues related to the country’s new regulatory frame to the attendees’ attention. The discussion is to be followed by a Networking Coffee Break, and after that the organisers of the Prague Gaming Summit have included a discussion focused on the Baltic states, which are currently considered as some of the fastest growing operators mainly in terms of technology.
The evening will see a Networking Party start at 8:00 PM.
Day 2
As soon as the opening remarks end at 9:30 AM, a discussion themed as “Affiliates in regulated markets” is to kick off. It would concentrate on the new emerging markets and their influence on affiliates around the world, as well as on regulatory licensing requirements, and the advantages and disadvantages of such regulations.
After a short Networking Coffee Break, the attendees of the Prague Gaming Summit will be given the opportunity to join a discussion with a special focus on Sweden, called “Updates of the Scandinavian region”. The discussion would be concentrated mainly on the new legislation framework that is likely to come in force in the country, as well as on some specific features that have always made the Scandinavian region stand out as far as the online gambling industry is concerned.
The first edition of the Prague Gaming Summit is to be officially closed with a Networking Dinner/Boat Trip on the Jazz Boat in Prague.
Speakers Involved
Most recently, the organisers of the 2017 Prague Gaming Summit have revealed some details about the speakers that are to take part in the conference discussions. In fact, some of the best-known local professionals in the online gambling industry.
The latest additions to the confirmed speakers at the event are the NSoft’s Managing Director of Business Operations Yancy Cottrill and Vojtech Chloupek, who is a partner in the Czech Bird & Bird office. Both of them have an extensive professional experience in the gambling market and are expected to share their opinion in two of the panel discussions.
As revealed by the organisers, Mr. Cottrill will speak at “The Benefits of the European Gambling Laws” that is to take place on June 8th. Mr. Chloupek, on the other hand, is to speak at the “Focus on the Czech Republic” panel discussion, which is scheduled for June 8th, too.
